Urban Sketchers Singapore Monthly Sketchwalk (July)

I discovered this group via CNNgo.com while browsing my twitter (read here) at that moment when I read about their group I was not hesitant to find them in Google and start reading their blog and soon found out that this is an international group of sketchers which gives educational value of drawing on location.

Yesterday was my first monthly sketchwalk, I was surprise seeing a lot of sketchers from all walks of life from more than a usual Saturday gathering. This monthly outing was focused around Cityhall area that has a long list of interesting structurals / buildings to draw. To sum it up it was a long crazy Saturday, a fun filled sketchwalk that I enjoyed most. Meeting new friends was the highlight of the event too.

Now I'm a 3 weeks old member and it is getting very addictive every sketchwalk and looking forward to the next sketchwalk / plein air.

Here are some of my work from yesterday's monthly sketchwalk:

Capitol Building

St. Andrews Cathedral

Central Fire Station

Peranakan Museum

Loke Yew Street

Ending the whole day of sketchwalk by a Portrait Session Finale at Coffee Beans Fullerton.
